Yussuf Suleiman Khalfan is the Founder and Managing Partner of Dimoso Advocates and is widely respected for his integrity, professionalism and commitment to justice. Throughout his legal career he has earned a reputation for honesty, compassion and dedication to clients, making him one of the most trusted advocates serving Zanzibar and Tanzania.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In addition to his legal education, he pursued studies in Leadership and Cross-Cultural Communication and gained valuable international experience through his work in Corporate Law in South Africa. This exposure strengthened his understanding of international business practices and prepared him to establish a law firm capable of serving both local and foreign investors operating across East Africa.
As Managing Partner, Yussuf leads the firm's corporate, investment, real estate and commercial practice areas. He regularly advises foreign investors, developers, tourism operators, entrepreneurs and multinational clients on business establishment, regulatory compliance, investment structuring and dispute resolution matters.
Yussuf is a member of Advocates International, Advocates Africa and the East Africa Law Society and is admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Zanzibar.
Beyond legal practice, he serves on several public and private sector boards including the Zanzibar Water Authority, Maisha Zanzibar, Pamoja Zanzibar, Hope for Life, Hope Training Institute and Grace Ministries International. His leadership experience across legal, business and community sectors enables him to provide practical advice that balances legal requirements with commercial objectives.
